My fields of study mainly concern the characterization of ancient and modern materials by non-destructive and micro-destructive analysis (SEM-EDX, XRD, XPS, FT-IR, NMR, GC-MS) and the preparation of new materials for applications in various fields, especially nanostructured materials for the environmental protection.
The interest in food science has been moved mainly by studying of the paleo-diet in the Mediterranean area and in particular by the development of new analytical methods for the analysis of archaeological residues and their recognition.
Recently I started to develop and apply new algorithms to Topological Quantum Chemistry and Materials Science.
